Uniqlo is about 40% cheaper in Korea than Stateside and likely even cheaper in Japan. I picked up my Supima Cotton T-shirt staples along with some Airism over shirts and a pair of sweaters for total of 197,700 Won or about $150 USD. This would have cost me $100 more or $250 in the US. Everything is XL Asia size which would be L in US.
Total Haul - 11 items
- Supima T-Shirt - XL - 6 (4 Black, 2 White)
- Airism T-Shirt - XL - 2 (Red, Green)
- U Crew T-Shirt - XL Green
- Sweater - XL - 2 (Gray, Green)
Wardrobe Inventory - 2023
I have over 54 items now in my core wardrobe. I’ll review my collection as I’m now ready to upgrade some core staples with higher end versions. For example, it’s time to get a real MA-1 Bomber jacket and perhaps a pair of Selvedge Jeans. I’ll evaluate and determine my future wardrobe additions now that I’ve identified which colors, fabrics and textures seem to match me best.
There is still a lot of room for experimentation and while I’m late to this fashion game, never too late to try now.
Update - 6/11/23 - the new U Crew and Airism shirts are awesome
The new U Crew and Airism shirts are awesome. I'm glad I decided to experiment and try them out. I want more of those shirts and probably in Black & White for both so extra 4 shirts.
Update - 11/24/23 - the Uniqlo Airism shirts suck
I've had to throw away both Airism shirts (burgundy & green). The green shrank dramatically, more than the 100% cotton shirts even though its a cotton-poly blend. The burgundy developed holes within a few months.
Quality is not the same sadly.
