Fairgrounds Coffee Review

I decided to switch things up this week and visited Fairgrounds in Knox Henderson, Dallas, while also stopping by Summer Moon in Frisco for some familiarity.

Fairgrounds Experience

At Fairgrounds, I tried both an Espresso and a Cappuccino.

Cappuccino: Unfortunately, the cappuccino fell flat for me. It seemed like they might have used soy or skim milk instead of whole milk, which affected the creaminess and overall texture.
Espresso: On the bright side, the espresso was good! I’m optimistic that ordering the cappuccino with whole milk next time will yield a better result.

The weather was typical for Texas—hot—but sitting in the shade with a nice breeze made it enjoyable to be outside. I’m glad I tried Fairgrounds, and I look forward to giving it another shot.

Overall Rating

I’d rate the Fairgrounds cappuccino a 5 out of 10 for this visit. I believe it has potential, especially with the right milk choice.

Eton Microlink FR160 Handcrank Radio Review I bought an Eton Microlink FR160 handcrank radio for my emergency kit a few years ago, and it’s been great overall. However, there’s one significant issue I've encountered. Sticky Residue Problem Over time, a sticky residue developed on the radio's external surface, which was driving me nuts. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the device. Solution Fortunately, I researched the problem online and discovered that Eton radios are coated with a substance designed to make them easier to grip.
